Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one actor whose career has had a major transformation. There was a time when he appeared in films in small roles and went unnoticed, and then came a time when people started going to theatres to see his work on-screen.
Nawaz started his acting journey from NSD (National School of Drama). In an earlier interview, Nawazuddin credited NSD for his confidence and said, "The confidence that helped me to keep fighting came from NSD".

From playing an insignificant role of a terrorist in Sarfarosh in 1999, to sharing screen space with Shah Rukh Khan in Raees(2016) as Majumdar, Siddiqui has come a long way. His roles in Gangs Of Wasseypur, Talaash, The Lunch Box, Kick, Badlapur, Bajrangi Bhaijaan are worth an applaud.
The turning point in Nawazuddin’s career was when he appeared in Anurag Kashyap's Black Friday (2007) which helped him further to get powerful roles. After 2 years in 2009, Siddiqui was noticed in the film New York. However it was his role of a journalist in Aamir Khan Productions's Peepli Live (2010) that first got him recognition as an actor.
However, Nawaz became a household name with Vidya Balan’s Kahaani in 2012, where he played the role of an intelligence officer, Khan.
